Preparing For Pallet Delivery
Large delivery on its way? Follow these steps to prepare.
Follow these simple steps to ensure your hardware delivery runs smoothly.
Choose a receiving area that is level and free of any objects that could obstruct/damage the delivery. You may need to clear the receiving area to make sure there’s enough space for the pallet.
Before the delivery driver unloads the pallet, inspect the delivery truck to ensure that it’s in good condition and free of any damage that may have been caused during transit.
When the delivery driver arrives, supervise the unloading of the pallet. If possible, use a forklift or pallet jack to safely move the pallet from the truck to the receiving area.
Once the pallet is unloaded, examine the goods for any visible signs of damage. If any damage is found, take photos and document the issue before signing the delivery receipt.
Store the items on the pallet in a safe and secure location, away from any potential hazards such as heat sources or heavy traffic areas.
Properly dispose of any packaging materials, such as cardboard or plastic wrap, to avoid creating a tripping hazard.
Note: This is a general guide and may not cover all specific delivery scenarios. Always follow the manufacturer’s or delivery company’s instructions for the best results.
